Group Introduction

Organic Semiconductors Lab(OSL) of Zhejiang University is one of Chinese core units engaged in the research and development of organic polymer semiconductor materials and optoelectronic functional devices. It was founded in 1986 by Professor Yang Shilin , former presidents of Zhejiang University, and Professor Wang Mang. It has adhered to active innovative ideas and a relaxed academic atmosphere for a long time, formed with  organic compound semiconductors as the main research direction, the design and synthesis of planar macrocyclic conjugated organic polymers as the basis, the combination of composite technology and nanotechnology as a means, and advanced optoelectronic functional materials With the distinctive features of design and preparation as the center, research on the relationship between material micro-nano structure-charge transfer-optoelectronic function, and the development of new optoelectronic functional devices as the goal, the overall research level is at the leading domestic and internationally advanced level. The replacement of the old with the new was completed in 2003. Professor Hongzheng Chen, winner of the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, was appointed as the head of the research office, which brought a new look and showed a good momentum of development. There are 1 senior professor, 4 professors (doctoral supervisor), 1 guest professor (doctoral supervisor), 3 distinguished researchers (doctoral supervisor), 2 full-time researchers, 7 postdoctoral fellows, 43 doctoral students, and 22 master students.

OSL has built long-term collaborations with Washington University, Riso DTU of Denmark£¬IMEC of Belgium, Stanford University£¬ and UCLA of USA. " Danish Chinese Centre of Organic-Based Photovoltaics with Morphological Control " was established in 2009 joint with Prof. Frederik C. Krebs from DTU of Denmark. Welcome Students with majors in polymer, organic chemistry, materials science, condensed matter physics or device physics can apply for doctoral candidates or post-doctoral studies in our laboratory.
