On the afternoon of May 31st, 16 teams composed of graduates and undergraduates crowded in front of the DPSE building, where the DPSE's fourth "Poly Cup" Tug-of-War would be held. At 2£º00 p.m., the competition started. Meanwhile the previous atmosphere charged with tension boomed into one of more strength and nervousness,
The tense air was broken out when the first match in the round of 16 to 8 elimination games started, the field was filled with competitors’ slogans and audiences’ cheers. After the first round the 8 teams stand out are Class 0902¡¢0901¡¢1001¡¢1101¡¢1002¡¢the first and third branch of polymer science institute¡¢the first branch of biomedical macromolecules institute .
In the competition, we admired the students for their strong will and we also appreciated the teachers, especially the teachers from the DPSE office, they have insisted on encourage our students all along this competition.
Subsequently, in the second round of competition, started with Class 0902 against their brother Class 0901, we saw the modest quality shining in every team member., They set us an example of friendship comes first, which was really a bright scene of the competition.
After intense competitions between 8 teams, the Tug-of-War game came to an end in the passionate shouts of students and teachers. The first branch of biomedical macromolecules institute fighted like a fierce tiger springing down the mountain, won against the third branch of polymer science institute in two rounds
The third branch of polymer science showed great ambitions and strove, finally won the second place; the legendary Class 0902, under the shadow of seeing their dear brother class's defeat, beat their worthier opponent the first branch of polymer science institute to win the third place. After the games, the secretary of DPSE's party committee Rengong Lou awarded the certificates to the winners and appreciated their wonderful performance in the competition.
This competition attracted all branches and all classes to get together, creating a valuable opportunity for their communications, thus enhanced the relationship between teachers and students and fully showed the positive spirits and youth passion of students.
Here apart from congratulations for every players taking part in the game, we should also say thanks to all staffs working for the well-going of the game, to every teacher for their continued support.
