The 2013 First Plenary Meeting of Teachers at DPSE

On the morning of Feb. 26th, the first plenary meeting of all teachers was held this year. The meeting was chaired by Dean Zhikang Xu. Leaders, all the teachers at DPSE and some representatives of retired teachers attended the meeting.

Dean Zhikang Xu introduced the new Vice-Dean Rengong Lou first and represented all the members at DPSE to welcome his coming. And then he introduced the basic situations of “China-Portugal Coalition in Advanced Materials Innovation Center” supported by the Portugal and China governments. He called on all the teachers to seize this chance and promote development of DPSE together.

Vice-Dean Rengong Lou subsequently expressed his joyance of coming to DPSE, and appreciated the academic achievements achieved by all the teachers and students at DPSE in the recent years. He emphasized that our teachers should care for the lives as well as studies of their students, and should help those who are having difficulties. Besides, hidden danger in laboratory should be ruled out, and security training should be held for all the students to raise their awareness of safety.

The meeting was brief but efficient. It ended with warm applause at last.
