On the afternoon of Nov. 22th, the award ceremony of Yuandong Scholarship was held in Polymer Building. Prof. Qi Wang, one of the vice-deans at DPSE, presided over this ceremony. Participants of the award ceremony included Technical Director and Chief Inspector from Yuandong Enterprise; Dean Zhikang Xu, Vice-dean Qingwen Wang and Teacher Jiao Meng in DPSE, the award winners and representatives of student cadres.
First, Prof. Qi Wang introduced the leaders and honored guests presented. Then Prof. Zhikang Xu gave a short speech and betokened his gratitude to Yuandong Enterprise. In the speech, he sketched the situation of DPSE, and hoped DPSE could cooperate with more enterprises in technology and science as well as education to promote its development.
Accompanied by warm applause, Vice-dean Qingwen Wang read the award winners’ list of Yuandong Scholarship. Leaders coming from Yuandong Enterprise and DPSE delivered the certificates of merit to the 20 award winners. Subsequently, Phd. Yujing Liu represented all the award winners to express their feelings. He emphasized that the good conditions offered by school and the guidance by his tutor was the key to winning this scholarship for him; the students who had won the prize would not fall short of our hopes, and would create greater glories in their research and study.
Finally, Mr. Chuanqi Cheng, Chief Inspector of Human Resources Department from Yuandong Enterprise, congratulated the students on winning Yuandong Scholarship, and expected to cooperate with colleges and universities in more ways than one.
The award ceremony for Yuandong Scholarship was rounded off with warm applause in the end.
