The Grade Conference of DPSE for Grade 2010 undergraduate students was held at Room 228 in the Polymer Building on Sept. 25th, 2012. Vice Dean of our department, Qingwen Wang, chief of undergraduate institution, Xuying Du, and students’ counselor Jiao Meng were also present.
The conference was chaired by Jiao Meng. First, he extended warm welcome to newcomers of YuQuan Compus, advising them to communicate with their teachers to make a plan for their future study and career. Then, Prof. Qingwen Wang reviewed the excellent work we have done in the area of students’ management, cultural and sports activities, and scientific researches, which were highlighted by all levels of school leaders. In the following year, our department will devote to some unique activities including ice-breaking, Polymer Festival, New Year Party, as well as the 13th "Challenge Cup" of National Undergraduate Extracurricular Academic Science and Technology Works Competition. Success of these activities will enhance harmony as well as unity of the department. He also sent his congratulations to Grade 2010 students for their achievements in the past school year. He analyzed the employment situation of the students graduated in recent 3 years. Looking ahead, he proposed his prospect. Finally, Xuying Du put demands on the future study of students.
By this Grade Conference, students not only felt the deep care from teachers, but also get a better idea about the orientation and goals for their future.
