In order to further increase the research interest of graduates of DPSE and improve their academic level, encourage the exchange of the latest achievements and encourage academic exchange, inherit the academic spirit “Extensive Collection and Incorporation, Let A Hundred Flowers Blossom”, on 2014 July 16th, the first Academic Festival for graduates was held by DPSE on the second floor of Yongqian Center in Yuquan Campus, Zhejiang University. This Academic Festival aimed at all graduates of DPSE, adopting international conference standards.
The Academic Festival was themed with “Show Ourselves, Assimilate and Amalgamate” and was divided into three parts including Oral Presentation, Poster Communication and Poster Competition. It began with the opening speech delivered by Prof. Qi Wang, Vice Department Director. In Oral Presentation, Prof. Qi Wang, Prof. Jian Ji, associate professors Ziliang Wu and Qiao Jin were present. 11 reporters from different groups displayed their study areas and achievements. All teachers and students opened up their prospective and asked questions, creating a strong academic atmosphere. In the afternoon, Presented at the Poster Communication and Competition were Prof. Jian Ji, associate professors Jun Ling, Ziliang Wu, Zhengke Wang and Zhengwei Mao. 42 posters made by students including Zheng Liu filled the whole room. Every reporter displayed their research achievement briefly and communicated with the professors and students actively. In the end, after teachers’ review, the poster The Research of Cell Membrane Microcapsule as Targeted Drug Carriers displayed by Lijie Han won the first prize, while the posters of Huan Li and Liangwei Zhu won the second prize, and the posters of Xinfeng Tao, Pan Zhang and Shan Yu got the third prize. In addition, the poster of Congcheng Fan was the winner of the popular vote chosen by both professors and students.
To all the graduates of DPSE, this festival broadened their research horizon, aroused their enthusiasm for innovation, enhanced their awareness of cooperation with each other and created a strong academic atmosphere, providing DPSE a good platform for academic exchange and development.
