From May 30th to 31th in 2014, the 1st Sino-Portugal Advanced Materials Innovation Forum, which received large amounts of assistance from Ministry of Science and Technology of the People’s Republic of China and Ministry of Science Foundation of the Portuguese Republic, was held in Hangzhou. The forum was hosted by Sino-Portugal Advanced Materials Conjoint Innovation Center. And more than 100 experts and scholars from all fields of China and Portugal, including the government organizations, scientific communities, and business communities, were attracted to participate in this forum. They had a heated discussion on Scientific scientific Research research and Innovationinnovation, Technology technology Transfertransfer, Talent talent Introductionintroduction, key Enterprise enterprise Cooperation cooperation and so on. Chen Linhao Chen, deputy director general of international International cooperation Cooperation department Department of Ministry of science Science and technologyTechnology in China, Paula Mesquita, the representative of Ministry of Science Foundation of the Portuguese Republic, Shen Jiacong Shen, the academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Cheng Yuechong Cheng, deputy Minister of Science and Technology Department of Zhejiang Province and Wu Ping Wu, vice-principal of ZJU attended the forum.
DPSE and Portugal has a long history of cooperation. In this forum, Absorption and Separating Materials and Technology Innovation Base built by Professors professors including Xu Zhikang Xu and Zhu Baoku Zhu and Biomedical Materials and Technological Innovation Base established by Professors professors including Ji Jian Ji and Hu Qiaoling Hu were inaugurated. DPSE can make use of The Sino-Portugal Advanced Materials Innovation Center to carry out international exchange and cooperation and offers DPSE an opportunity to carry out international exchange and cooperation for the development of scientific research.
Sino-Portugal Advanced Materials Conjoint Innovation Center has developed quickly with the efforts of all parties concerned since it was established last year. And this forum has achieved success on several aspects including the development of the center, academic communication, cooperative planning and so on, which has laid a solid foundation for the further development of two countries and Sino-Portugal Advanced Materials Conjoint Innovation Center.
