On the afternoon of September 26th, Rengong Lou, Chair of DPSE together with Gaohe Wang and Jiao Meng went to N0.7 dormitory to visit those students who have just moved here from Zijingang campus, holding a happy communication with them in aspects of study, life and so on.

The No.7 dormitory of Yuquan campus was built in 1950s and now is on the list of historical and protective buildings of Hangzhou province. After structure strengthening in April of 2010, the number of roomies reduced from 8 to 4, and the bed switched from bunk beds to independent bed over a students’ desk. Despite the repair, there are still some dissatisfactions such as no hot bath, uncomfortable wet air conditions of first floor and too many mosquitoes.

After listening students’voices about conditions of dorms, Lou said to students, “in face of the poor conditions of life, I hope you can nurture the good character of enduring and pay more attention to your study. At the same time, do more exercise and keep good life habits. And if anyone of you has any advice or difficulties, you are encouraged to turn to formal channels to express your ideas. Our department will be active to communicate with certain departments to solve the problem soon.”
Wang and Meng also shared with students about their interesting habits of cold bath in their school-days, happy laughter filled the corridor.
