Time£º2013-05-23 14:02

Poster exhibition is a prevalent form of academic communication in many international conferences. Universities and research institutes usually hold poster exhibitions to exchange scientific achievements and make academic developments more effective. To train research abilities of postgraduates at DPSE, an “Academic Poster Exhibition” was held by the Graduate Student Association in spring/summer 2013 terms. The 3rd and 4th editions of the exhibition posters were chosen as the branch of the 9th PhD forum of Zhejiang University.

The 3rd edition posters were exhibited on April 23rd in Polymer Building with the theme of polymer microstructure and rheology. The research interests focused on polymer rheology, structure and properties of multicomponent polymer materials, functional polymer materials, polymer composites and nanocomposites, blending and composite modification of polymers, synthesis of sterically regular polymers, self-assembly of block copolymers, polymer crystallization, and so on.

The 4th edition posters were exhibited on May 14th with theme of biomedical polymers. The research interests focused on medical polymers for tissue repair and regeneration, cardiovascular biomaterials and minimally invasive medical devices, smart nanocarriers for biotherapy, gene delivery systems, natural polymers, drug-targeting carriers for controlled drug release, biodegradable polymers and clinical applications thereof, and so on.

Four exhibitions have been held with success and 39 students have participated in the exhibitions so far, which was beneficial to enhance communication among all the postgraduates at DPSE and improve their research abilities by these means.
