Spring, such an inspiring piece of news, wakes up the world and blows away a whole winter’s languidness. Along with the rising temperature, grass turns green and buds of various flowers are near the burst, playing the long-waited "Spring Symphony”.
There came the Women’s Day on March 8th in this early spring. Therefore, our Labour Union has organized a specially-designed tour for women teachers to explore traditional culture, and at the same time, to enjoy natural scenery.
On the morning of March 7th, 11 women teachers participated in the activity. They first took a photo in front of the department building of Polymer Science and Engineering. Then, under the guide of the Dean of our department, Prof. Xu, the Director, Prof. Lou, and the Associate Dean, Prof. Wang, they took the school bus, starting from Yuquan Campus, to Jiang Yang Fan-----an ecological park near the Qian Tang River. The park sat by the side of the historical remains of Imperial City of South Song Dynasty, featuring multi-levels of scenes of wet lands, swallow swamps, pools and lakes, at the same time, providing a suitable habitat for birds, fish, aquatic animals, and wild amphibians.
The season of spring colors the grass green and delays the time for dusk. The bus drove along the Jiang Bing Road, which led to Jiang Yang Pan ecological park. With warm breeze flickering away and slight fragrance floating in the air, jasmine, magnoliayulan, peach blossom, and camellia were competing to showing off. Everyone strolled randomly in the park, shaking off all pressure and unhappiness. Savoring the sweet spring, they found it everywhere, in everyone’s eyes, on everyone’s face and around the valley.
The museum of Hang Style Cuisine is located near the ecological park. The air there is always fresh, so being called as “natural oxygen bar”. Our group had a delicious lunch in the museum, and we chatted and communicated freely, therefore improving health and harmonious development. The women teachers released the daily pressure and irritation by the tour.
The journey was completed with a perfect ending. It was too lovely to be depicted by my limited writing. Beautiful memories and light-hearted people are still right in front of my eyes.
