Dr. Axel H. E. Müller is an eminent professor in polymer chemistry and polymer brushes, full Professor and chair, Makromolekulare Chemie II, Bayreuth University, Germany, senior editor of Polymer, member of the editorial board of Progress in Polymer Science, Polymer Journal, etc., co-editor of “Controlled and Living Polymerizations”, Wiley-VCH, Weinheim 2009, co-editor of “Comprehensive Polymer Science”, 2nd Ed., Vol. 6: Macromolecular Architectures and Soft Nano-objects, Elsevier, Oxford, 2012, fellow of the Polymer Chemistry Division of the American Chemical Society since 2011. He received IUPAC World Polymer Congress MACRO 2004 Award “Distinguished Polymer Scientist” in 2004. He published more than 400 original papers, review articles, and book chapters; and 17 patents, and gave more than 80 invited and plenary lectures at international meetings.
