On the morning of Sep 29th, the 2008 Undergraduates Conference of DPSE was held in Room 228. Qingwen Wang, the vice secretary of the Party of the department, Jiao Meng, secretary of Youth League Committee, Xuying Du, chief of undergraduate section and two head teachers attended the meeting and discussed with students about the topics of most concern, such as teaching faculty, scientific research, administrative work, and so on. The discussion provided abundant information for juniors in determining their development direction in future.
Teacher Qingwen Wang, emphasized that the culture of "getting together and united as a whole" (In Chinese we say "Ju He", which has another meaning as polymerization) is the basement of unity, also the source of flouring development of our department. He suggested that all students feel the cohesion from the culture of "getting together and united as a whole" with the heart, which was an invaluable fortune during the four-year college life. In addition, deeds of success of excellent seniors were presented by teachers, illustrating the proverb "ambitious and down-to-earth". Finally, the 2008 undergraduates were advised to help each other and make best use of the resources provided by our department.
We hoped 2008 undergraduates could work hard and strive for themselves, winning glory for the department of polymer science and engineering.
