The May’s Yuquan Campus embraced not only the hot sunshine of early summer, but also a group of white-haired elders who recalled the past and tasted the wine of their youth memory. On this day, May 5th of 2014, the elders were welcomed hotly by the DPSE’s teachers and students!
The visit to DPSE buildings was set at 2:00 p.m.,with elders accompanied by student volunteers. Along the way, many memories recalled by the scenes nearby, stirred affections in elders, who then shared kindly with volunteers the past layout and pointed out a change here and another change there as if at home. At DPSE,they received teachers’ sincere treatments. A group photo was shot as a memorial.
Subsequently, elders and their accompanying relatives,guided by leaders, gathered into the meeting room, where Professor Zhikang Xu, leader of DPSE, welcomed them again before reporting the current state of development and prospects of DPSE. Schoolmates felt proud and happy about what the DPSE had achieved.
Then, student volunteers guided elders to visit the DPSE’s labs and the exhibition room. Hot discussions arose among elders who seemed very interested in what they saw. The familiar stuffs of the lab, recalled their golden youth campus life and golden friendship then. Impressed was the continuing yearning from the guider, retired teacher Guorong Qi towards the past youth life with excited voices.
The visit finished at 4:30 p.m.. Schoolmates went to ShaoKe Pavilion to have dinner together. The dinner atmosphere was harmonious: Cheering, schoolmates looked back upon the past and blessed the future of DPSE, elevating the memorial to climax.
Crossing 50 years, being together today is really a precious thing for old schoolmates. Here we bless all of them being “peaceful, happy and healthy” on behalf of DPSE’s students and teachers.
