On March 7th, an annual special festival, named “Girls’ Day”, attracted wide attention in DPSE. In order that the girls in the department, who are always busy with their research, could have a pleasant holiday, the League Committee, the Graduate Student Union as well as the Undergraduate Student Union made an elaborate plan for the celebration. “Goddess in DPSE, we are all with you”, was their slogan!
The wet weather in the early morning could never extinguish the enthusiasm in those organizers’ hearts. They managed to beautify the hall of the department building with various exquisite decorations - all kinds of desserts, sweet-scented milky tea, small but delicate gifts as well as the elaborately-designed “wish walls”. With the warmth of their blessings, they were waiting for the appearance of those girls, hoping to bring them with a surprise and a delighted day.
After 8am, their goddess began to appear. As expected, the whole hall was filled with surprise as well as joyfulness. While tasting the warm milky tea, the girls picked out their favorite snacks and gifts, with bright smile on their faces, and then wrote down their private wishes on the “wish walls”. Lots of boys were also highly-activated to participate in this celebration, expressing their sincere blessings to those lucky girls. Many teachers took part in the activity as well and presented the girls with their benediction and support. The laughter was transporting the move and the happiness to the outside on the morning of that special “Girls’ Day”!
The wall were full with the girls’ wishes, indicating a consummation of the celebration and moreover, the solidarity of DPSE. Once again, the League Committee, the Graduate Student Union as well as the Undergraduate Student Union wished a good day to all girls on behalf of all members in the department!
