On March 22nd at 14:30, the second round of Group D began. Our team was competing against the Law school on the field of West Zijinggang.
On the whole, the both sides had attacks and defenses. We had greatly improve the cooperation between the members and they were in good states. Besides, the mid-court was successfully strengthened. Afterwards, our team gradually took the lead, and got several chances of corner kick and free-kick on the front field. This time, the captain’s shot stroke on the crossbeam of the goal. The first half ended by 0 to 0.
After exchanging positions, we began the next half match by breaking through their defense and delivering the ball to each other to approach the goal area. At 65 minutes, the captain got ball in the goal area and made a shot. The ball hit the defense player and changed its route, skillfully getting into the goal by a strange arc while avoiding the guard, so we got I points ahead. Then we took our chance, and at 72 minutes we got a corner kick. The captain made a shot and turn the score to 2 to 0. The score remained unchanged till the end of the match.
After this match, our team have one lost and one gain, getting the total score of 3 points and ranking the second in group D. For the last match in the group, we will have a very competitive opponent, Danqing College, which defeated the Agriculture Team by 4 to 0. If we could keep it even for the next match, it is highly possible to get an extra match. We are convinced that our team will be better next time, and we hope they would bring us more exciting matches.
