Professor Taolei Sun
Professor Taolei Sun received his Ph.D. in Physics & Chemistry Technology Institute of Chinese Academy of Science in 2002. He went to University of Münster to do researches in 2005, as an Alexander von Humboldt fellow. In 2006, he was awarded the Sofja Kovalevskaja Award and up to one-million-Euro research fund from Alexander von Humboldt Foundation and Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) in Germany. He established an independent research group to do cutting-age work and served as an assistant professor and the team leader. Meanwhile, he was a senior fellow in German Nanotechnology Center.

He returned to China in 2009 and worked full time as a professor in State Key Laboratory for Advanced Technology of Materials Compositizationlocated in Wuhan University of Technology (WHUT). At the same year, he won the honorary title “Changjiang Scholars” Distinguished Professor conferred by Chinese Ministry of Education. In 2011, he held the post of the chair professor in Department of Material Science and Engineering of WHUT. His researches mainly focus on the functional interface materials with chirality and responsiveness. By now, Prof. Sun has published over 50 papers or academic disquisitions, 18 of which were published in noted international journals such as Acc. Chem. Res, Chem. Soc. Rev, Angew. Chem. Int. Ed, J. Am. Chem. Soc and Adv. Mater, whose SCI impact factors are higher than 9. Totally, his papers have been cited over 2300 times.
