Prof. Leong has published more than 280 peer-reviewed research manuscrips(H-index 80) and owns more than 50 issued patents, leading to recent induction into the National Academy of Inventors. His work has been recongized by a Young Investigator Reaserch Achievement Award of the Controlled Release Society, Distinguished Scientist Award of the International Journal of Nanomedicine, and Clemsom Award for Applied Research of the Society for Biomaterials.


 
Research Interests:
Biomaterials Design: surface nanostructures, microfluidics, quantum dots, etc.
Controlled Drug and Gene Delivery: oral delivery, non-viral gene dilivery, etc.
Tissue Engineering:stem cells, structure of scaffolds, nerve guidance, etc.
