Prof. Dr. Jing Zhi Sun, a Mongolian.
Got Ph. D. degree in the Department of Chemistry from Jilin University (July of 1999), worked as a postdoc in the Department of Polymer Science and Engineering at Zhejiang University (from Sept. of 1999 to June of 2001) and was promoted to an associate professor of Zhejiang University in July of 2001 worked as a visiting scholar at IMEC (Inter-University Micro-Electronic Center, Belgium), was promoted to a full professor of Zhejiang University in December of 2006.
Research Interests: (i) Bioelectronics based on fluorescent process (new); (ii) Opto- electronic process in organic semiconductors; (iii) Functional macromolecules constructed from triple-bonded building blocks; (iv) Hybrids of organic-inorganic semiconductors.
Research activities: As manager finished 3 general projects from the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) and 1 major project from the Natural Science Foundation of Zhejiang Province, and now is engaging in 1 general project from NSFC. As co-manager now is engaging in 1 major project from NSFC, as a member joined a “973” project from the Ministry of Science & Technology of China. By the end of 2009, published more than 100 papers and got an H index of 23 according to ISI Web of Knowledge.
