Professor Qian (1998-present). Graduate in Department of Chemistry at Zhejiang University in 1970.Visiting scholar in the Department of Chemistry, University of Waterloo in Canada (1987-1989). Visiting professor in the Department of Chemistry, The Chinese University of Hong Kong (1996). Five prizes were awarded such as 3rd rate prize of National Science Technology Invention (1997). Being a member of Polymer Charaterization Committee in China (1997-present).

He worked as a postdoctoral research scholar in the Department of Chemical Engineering at Zhejiang University from Apr 2005 to Aug 2007 and he was promoted to associate professor in Jul 2007.
