My name is Wajiha Ahmed and I belong to Pakistan. I hold a Bachelor degree in Biotechnology from The Islamia University of Bahawalpur, Pakistan and a Masters degree in Biomedical Sciences from National University of Sciences and Technology Islamabad, Pakistan. For my Masters degree, mainly I studied the biosynthesis of silver nanoparticles and their applications in biosensors development and antibacterial activity. I am particularly obsessed by tissue regenration and the use of polymers  approach to investigate molecular mechanisms of health and disease. That's why I have recently joined Professor Gao's lab as a Doctoral Researcher or PhD student. Here I will be working on antibacterial applications of polymers and nanoparticles in tissue regenration and wound healing.

Hobbies: In my leisure time, I like reading  and mentoring people in different issues.
