The West Lake is undoubtedly the most renowned feature of Hangzhou.The famous West Lake is like a brilliant pearl embedded in the beautiful and fertile shores of the East China Sea near the mouth of the Hangzhou Bay. The lake covers an area of 5.6 square kilometers. The view of the West Lake is simply enchanting, which offers many attractions for tourists at home and abroad.
Zhejiang University is located in Hangzhou with 5 campuses. It came into existence as Qiushi Academy is in 1897, and is the third oldest university in China. Nowadays it is ranked as a top 5 comprehensive national university in China. It covers 12 academic disciplines including philosophy, economics, law, education, literature, history, art, science, engineering, agriculture, medicine, and management.
