General Description:
His research interests are biomedical materials for tissue engineering and regenerative medicine, and colloidal and nano-biomaterials for drug delivery and cellular interaction. He was a principal investigator for National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars of China (2004) and Key project of Natural Science Foundation of China (2004, 2009), and a co-investigator of the National Major State Basic Research Program of China (973 program), the National High-tech Research and Development Program (863 program) and Frame Work Program 7 of European Commission. He has published more than 200 papers in Agnew. Chem., Adv. Materials and Biomaterials etc. and has a personal H-index of 37 at present. He has delivered more than 20 keynote or plenary lectures in scientific conferences.
