It is a dry method, but different from air dry. It can keep a non-stress state on sample surface during the dry process, which can avoid damages to samples usually caused by stress in air dry method. The advantage of the method is that the samples can keep their original morphology the same to that in wet state even after they are dried.It always appilied in biomaterial samples, and for preparing SEM samples.
